Hey, ever thought about going on a solo trip to Disney World? Well, guess what - today I've got some awesome tips to make your solo day at the happiest place on Earth absolutely unforgettable! Not only is this adventure packed with fun, but it’s also a fantastic form of self-care. So, grab your Mickey ears and let's dive in!

Tip 1: Plan Ahead
First things first, make sure you plan ahead. Just a little bit of planning can go a long way, especially when you're flying solo. Take some time to check out the My Disney Experience App or Disney World website to explore park maps, attractions, and dining options. I also personally enjoy researching Disney Vloggers on YouTube. Emily Enchanted and DFBGuide are two of my favorite channels to research the parks. However, do not go planning your day at the parks every hour on the hour, I suggest going in with about four things you really want to do and save the rest for if you have time. Having just a rough itinerary will help you make the most of your day and ensure you hit your must do's and must see's. Plus, planning can be a part of the fun and anticipation!
Tip 2: Arrive Early
Make sure to set your alarm and try to get there early. If you're staying on property, you'll be able to take advantage early entry! Just be sure to arrive before the My Disney Experience App says the park you're going to will open. Sometimes, the parks may open a little earlier than the app says. It's also awesome to arrive at the parks before they open. You'll beat the crowds, so you can ride your favorite attractions with shorter lines. And there's a special vibe to being there as the park comes to life.
Tip 3: Utilize the Single Rider Lines
One of the best perks of visitings the parks solo is being able to utlize the single rider lines at the following attractions:
Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run (Hollywood Studios)
Test Track (EPCOT)
Expedition Everest (Animal Kingdom)
Rock 'n' Roller Coaster (Hollywood Studios)
These lines are usually way shorter than the regular ones, so you can have more fun on the rides and less time waiting around - pretty sweet deal, right?
Tip 4: Take Advantage of Mobile Food Ordering
You know what's awesome? With the My Disney Experience App, you can totally order your meals in advance. Mobile ordering is a game-changer because you can be chilling at one side of the park, place your food order, and boom, it's ready for you to pick up when you get there. Plus, no need to stand in those endless lines to order. More fun time, less wait time - sounds good, right?!
Tip 5: Be Flexible
So remember those top four things we talked about before? Well, here's the deal. Disney World is full of surprises. You never know when a sudden rainstorm might hit, a ride might close, or huge crowds might show up out of nowhere and mess up your plans. Just roll with it and go with the flow. Who knows, you might stumble upon something totally awesome in the parks that you never even knew existed!
Tip 6: Engage with Cast Members
Hey, don't be shy! Feel free to chat with Disney cast members. They're really friendly and have awesome tips to make your day even more magical. And it's always a blast to talk to other Disney fans! They may also sometimes sprinkle in a little extra Disney magic for you such as letting you choose where to sit on a ride.
Tip 7: Capture the Moment
When you travel solo, you can snap all the awesome moments you want! Take loads of photos and selfies to remember your day. Whether it's a quick pic in front of Cinderella Castle or a selfie on Space Mountain, these memories will be so valuable to you when you leave the Disney bubble. And hey, don't hesitate to ask a cast member or a friendly guest to help you get those perfect shots!
Tip 8: Stay Hydrated and Energized
Exploring Disney World can be tiring, especially if you're flying solo. Don't forget to drink water and keep your energy levels up. Bring a reusable water bottle and some snacks to keep you going all day long. If you need a quick refill, just swing by any quick service counter for a free cup of water. And for a fun break, head to Club Cool at EPCOT for some free soda samples. Trust me, a full belly and well-hydrated body will lead to a great day!
Tip 9: Embrace Solo Time
One awesome thing about going on a solo trip is that you get to have some quality time just for yourself. So, kick back, relax, and soak in the vibes while enjoying the tranquility of being on your own. Whether you're strolling around Epcot's World Showcase or discovering a peaceful nook in Animal Kingdom, make sure to cherish these moments of being by yourself. It's like a little soul retreat that will fill your cup.
Tip 10: Have Fun and Be Present
Finally, don't forget to have a blast and live in the moment. Disney World is all about spreading magic and happiness, so immerse yourself in the whole experience.
